Word on the street is "Delivered by Royal Mail" will be on every letter that goes through our sorting equipment from mid September this year.

And it will achieve ... nothing. People know who it was delivered by. They haven't cared about the rest for years, and guess what? They probably won't have a frigging clue what this clever backhand jibe is meant to mean.

Does the new WSM's have a ink printing facility built into them then? DSA does'nt go through any other machine, unless they want us to hand stamp every letter before we start prepping

Printed the same time as the orange bar code dots ?
Or Royal Mail will only accept DSA with that already printed on it ?
And why wasn't it on from the very start of DSA several years ago ?

Too little too late. How much will this cost anyway, considering how they are slashing everything. Bet its part of the privitisation plan. Let the public know what we deliver, then say it needs to be done to safeguard it. Or maybe i am just cynical!!!

does that mean on deliver these items will be taken into consideration when you tell them you are struggling to complete your p&l delivery as we are constantly being told that the traffic is down and you can do extra but all the dsa do not go through our mail centres so are not accounted for , or even better tell em to deliver it themselves.

It'll be printed as it goes through the iLSMs, and the originators of the DSA mail be be required to print it on thier envelopes too.

DSA is always counted in the daily traffic; if it wasn't, some days RM would only count about 200 letters through the network...
