It's probably a little bit of both, same thing happens in my office every so often (usually a couple of months) but you can get the MCs cast off bands and P739s..............just get them from other offices in the area (but remember to cross off the old address and put your own in ).

You obviously need the right tools to do any job and in our case if we have no bands then you cannot bundle your mail up and if you have no P739 cards then seek permission to just return an item without endorsing it.

Niether are our problems so don't worry about them just pass the problem to your manager

No P739 , redirection bags or stickers , damaged item bags , or spare tyres for the vans. New tyres that are fitted are poor quality and wear down very quickly and seem to puncture more often.

My office was the same last month, running low on elastic bands or P739's. One of the managers got xmas P739's and said to use them but make sure you cross out the "Merry xmas and have a happy new year" part and extending times. Seems like resources are running low in all offices and again management are not showing any interest in the staff and customers...and you wonder why morale and standards have slipped within every work place up and down the country. Its depressing

No P739s at our office today....AGAIN!
Getting to be a regular occurrence,yet again had to go scrounging around the office to see if anyone had a few spare.

On the subject of vans we now have 3 trashed vans sitting in the carpark being slowly stripped for spares. Its like a pikeys scrap yard!

POUCHES. All but one of mine were nicked a couple of weeks back. Went to ask for bags and you'd think I was asking for the moon on a stick! Asked what I was meant to do, was told to use the drop bags and then 'export' the mail into my one decent pouch I wonder what they'd expect if I had no bags?

No p739's for 3 weeks using photocopies, no bands for a month (i have been using old carrier bags from home to bundle up absolute nightmare), no kill off stickers for over a month i have a pile of 100 letters waiting to be sent back. No bags so new starters are using package sacks. Its beyond rediculous and they claim we have been given the tools to do our job. Everyday we are told by management they are on their way lads. Luckily one of our useless managers has taken VR and leaves saturday so something might get done when hes gone.
