the only thing a planner has in mind is 5 hour deliveries........... they don't care want anyone thinks......... they are instructed to destroy delivery....... planners are ROBOTS......... programmed to do delivery over........ i tried talking to our office planner,,,,,,, the guy said,,,,,,, o.k, o.k.. then said i don't give a sh.t.......... 5 hour deliveries are comming in.......whether you like it or not,,,,,,,,,,,, there is no talking to them..,,,,, end of....

Those idiots are many,many things, but planners by any definition of the word, they most certainly are not.
Those buffoons are simply there to cut and slash your office to ribbons, as is the clown at our place right now.

Just let them get on with it then cut off when they screw it all up. Any input you think you may have is actually an illusion so don't waste your time with it. Pegasus and all the other crap they use is completely flawed. Sure it judges distances and other random stuff but it completely ignores important stuff.

My round has a similar number off drop points to each of the two rounds behind me, yet I get more mail than the two of them put together. My round is all home owners in streets that have been around for decades, long front gardens etc, the rounds behind me all newly built flats, mostly rented with letterboxes downstairs. According to the planner they all take the same time to deliver.....like fook they do! Some days I see the guys on the walks behind me coming back into the office before I have finished bagging up!

He/she will use the most ludicrous figures to create "achievable duties", but the duties willl be based on a minimal number of attendance calls, a minimal call rate, a minimial number of large packets per walk etc.....

That smiling face will turn sourer and sourer the more you challenge the ridiculous figures.

All the planners in our office were failed posties. Lazy useless twats that just want to screw you over....just like the management I had a run in with one of them when I started the re-sign, he went balastic and started throwing stuff

No matter what you plan it has to be passed with your DOM who has only so many hours to make it all work so it will all end in tears and tantrums, the fact you are sitting with him is to show some empathy, so basically he is just a buffer for some bad news
