Have a look at the Dunfermline story under 'Latest News'. What's happening is that anyone cutting off because they can't manage the new deliveries within the time, after the revision are being threatened with Wilful Delay. So anybody who thinks, as I do, that they can't make you work over your time, may have to think again. This is just the start guys so get ready!

Quick question. Are they paying overtime if you go over? If so you can refuse as you do not have to do ot if you dont want to. However was told months ago that rm will try to conduct code people for not being to able to complete in time as they are not up to job. As usual just ask them to put in writing that you must complete no matter how long it takes. If you manage to get a copy just take it to any tribunal and thats that manager f*****.

I don't know mate, I don't actually work at that office. Just been hearing the stories from guys that do. I actually heard that 2 people had been sacked. I don't know if the threat of a tribunal is as much as you think it is. It could still be cost effective for them to risk it.

Time and time again I say this, most posties know the timescale of their walk so if your late getting out of the office tell tha manager you can't finish. If you take it out they exspect you to finish or its wilful delay. If you go out late and don't tell them well your a idiot....Also anything can happen out there like waiting for your bags, phone in and tell them. they cannot make you go over, stand your ground...

I have loads of faith in the Union, well its members. Its the leadership or rather the direction of the leadership thats in question, at least for me.

I agree completely and i would never go against a ballot for industrial action but we got well screwed by the union hierarchy in the last agreement.

As far as i am aware it is against the law to force people to overtime unless it is written into your contract. If so take that piece of paper to a tribunal and your laughing. Yes RM will use any excuse to get rid of people, but if they break the law in doing so they are prey to a tribunal as well.

Sounds as if your manager did not tell you that even if you do go over, your temporary contract is not likely to be renewed once your depot has had its revision...
