rotated day off?
hey one and all. Got a question. I'm due to start at royal mail in a few weeks. Monday to saturday, 35 hours a week. With sunday off plus one rotated day. Does the rotated day include saturday? So you get some saturdays off? I forgot to ask this. I presume it does. I don't know if it applies to everyone who works for royal mail. I'm just unsure.

One week Monday, the next - Tuesday and so on. One Saturday off every 6 weeks (at the moment)

Thought the most they took on these days was 24hr contracts,obviously i was wrong.

We've a new starter today (and they've been rarer than hen's teeth in our DO). 30 hours per week, 8.00am to 2.00pm. Three month contract.
Line manager approaches him after he's been there for all of 20 minutes - "would you like to start at 6.00am tomorrow?" WTF!

nerradc - You will be a reserve!!!
You will start off on a duty and will do it for 6-8 weeks, maybe longer but eventually you will start to get fooked around...................it will happen.
