1 in 4 Saturdays

We are being backed into a corner in our office over the option of having 1 in 4 Saturdays off. If we take this option, we lose 4 full time staff, moved to another office and some part timers lose hours. They are forcing us to accept 1 in 6 Saturdays even though our office is grossly undermanned by full timers. Just now, 4 part timers come in for o/t in the morning to help sort frames, we are currently going through our revision (between phase 3 and 4) and will have walk sequencing introduced at the end of June. Any advice on how we can go about this mess, my head is bursting with this nonsense from Royal Mail, seems to me that no Voluntary Redundancy will equal Compulsory Redundancy.

1 in 6 isnt in the agreement ask them to show you it in black and white and also ask them to show you where in the menu of options it states you cant have the shift patterns you want !! tell your rep not to sign the agreement its about getting what you want not everything they want!!

Its pretty straight forward tell them this revision is going nowhere until we have 1 in 4 sats and more F/T we did and we increased from two upgrades to 22 with 1 in 4 sats
you see they are under enormous pressure to get these revsions in we are not. just hold the line and see what they come up with

Had a wee meeting today, Revision Committee, CWU and Manager, looks like the proposals of the 1in 3 and 1 in 4 options we were given were flawed as they contained reduction in hours for Part timers which go against the agreement, so its back to the drawing board...

They Tempted us with 1in4 sats off but now have backed out completely...Now we only have 2 choices, rolling day off or 5 weeks on 1 week off...Swizz!!!
