Rediretion's of SDs

I have been informed that when a customer has a redirection in place that you are not allowed to redirect special delivery items.You have to attempt delivery of them as normal.Seems crazy to me that you have to follow this procedure.Is this procedure followed elsewhere.Thanks in advance

I actually had a redirected special last week. I took it to the locker with my re-directions in hand and pointed this out. They took a sticker and said (paraphrasing) 'you lucky bastard.' But apart from that, they just put the sticker on top and sent it where it was meant to go. I don't see the problem, it's plain common sense as far as I'm concerned.

Garbage...it's only the timed guarantee that isn't valid,if the name on the SD matches with the name on the redirection it gets redirected end of story.
The only exception is for an overseas redirection.
How will Redirection affect Special Delivery™ items?
The Special Delivery™ (9.00am and Next Day) guarantee will not be valid for redirected mail. Special Delivery™ (9.00am and Next Day) and Recorded Signed For™ items will still require a signature on delivery. Special Delivery™ (9.00am and Next Day) cannot be redirected overseas.

It usually happens when people have existing accounts with companies like Amazon and Play.com and don't bother updating their account when they move.
To be honest it's a schoolboy error but you would be surprised how many make it.
