visited dundee east do thursday, walked around chatting to postman as the worked under mountains of mail, no falling volumes here,went away wi more than a flee in his ear,managers taken away trolleys, new geo routed walks, after the xmas fiasco, many still havent really changed, except some have had 100 houses taken off, but 40- 50 put on, he was told about bullying of temp staff, who are being threatened by managers that there contracts wont be renewed if they dont extend, work for free, as there prep rate isnt good-allegedlly!

He was aghast that a lot of walks are going out singly in vans , instead of shared vans, he cant believe weve not had transformation lump sums, in fact, he probably thinks......what a f**k up here, but will anything be done?

He reckons that some areas in the uk are working well wi shared vans, so was asked where? he never replied, so was asked are they using the same iwt as us, he said yes, so was asked firther, well, why isnt it working here,after 2 attempts, ..................?

He finally admitted, its all downn to what the management/planners put through the tool!

From what ive seen and heard of Mr higson he seems like a very nice guy.

if Mark Higson does not know what really is happening , then someone needs to tell him the full extent of what managers are doing to Royal Mail delivery staff, because its 12 century slavery,,, full stop... :crazy: :crazy: :crazy:

Even although Higson does seem to be a complete tool, if managers are saying everything is fine he's just got take their word. Even although it may not.

Therein lies the problem. What manager worth his salt is going to tell the top brass the truth?
First and foremost, they are going to do anything to protect their jobs.And if that means tell them what they want to hear then so be it.
That attitude has filtered down through the ranks. Who on here hasn't heard of some creative Storytelling?

AHEM......

The reality is they all don't want to accept the reality for different reasons, management because they need/want to save thousands through this rubbish and the union because they want to achieve Full Time jobs no matter what the cost, or who has to drop dead through exhaustion to get them. Someone give all of them directions to the nearest urinal so they can do it in the same pot!!
