Can they change my shift with less than 48 hrs notice? They've just told me they want me change shifts on Saturday from a round than finishes at 12 to a round that finishes at 3. Normally I wouldnt mind but I have plans, and will lose money if im made to work till 3.

No they can't. Got to give you more notice than that for change of shift patterns and 48hrs is not enough of a reasonable time. They can make you do a different job/round within your same hours but not a change of shift pattern. As the other post states, Just say you have made plans and explain that 48 hrs is not enough time for me to change my plans. If they say tough then get hold of your rep who should say the exact same thing as me and tell them where to go. If they still ignore then I would go down the B/H route.
