hi guys is there anything in the agreement saying what the latest start times should be i thought it was 7 am but my dom has told me no and is trying to put us to all to 7-45 am , also we will be finishing 3-15 pm most days including saturdays are we within our rights to say no ? thanks in advance for your replies

The lads came in on their time, prepped in their door to doors first, new orders from DOM see, about half a box of sequenced each, then at 8.50 took their break as advised by the DOM.

After break DOM orders all to tie up and get out on delivery, he wants us all out by ten.

So this late starting pair still have two boxes of sequenced, all IPS, all flats, and all packets unprepped and so undelivered.

this revision is a complete joke.

Because most if not all reps at and above Divisional Level have not worked under the present methods. I would say 90% of them last did a delivery late 80s early 90s and 95% have not done a duty since before SDD. Hence my constant refrain that I believe all reps of all levels should spend at least sometime in the year doing a delivery duty and a Mail centre duty as well. For those that represent other functions then they should also experience that work as well. Theory and being informed what its like by those doing the work, is all well and good, but it will never replace the experience of actually doing it yourself.

How can you have 3 weeks sick? You will need a doctors note for more than 7 days sick!

all that weight we carry,bad backs are always a problem,just get a note on the seventh day,tell doc you always carry heavy objects,and he will give you a 10 day note,phone your office and tell them you have a 10 days doc's note,if they phone before 10 days up ,tell them not to harass you.have the other 4 days off,if they ask for another note to cover those 4 days,tell them not to harass you,they will leave you alone,as long as you put your back trouble in the accident book,you are untouchable.go for it.what have you got to lose! a shite job.go on go for it,nice weather coming up soon,get your tan going early this year.

Yep,when you're paying people 70-100,000 pounds to negotiate on your behalf,i think your'e entitled to think they're more intelligent than the average postie,but sadly i just don't see it with Billy and Dave!
