We met when you visited Glasgow just after taking up your new post. You gave us your first impressions of your new job, summarised below.

1. Downstream access - You were surprised that the Company was expected to carry competitors mail and carry it at a loss. You promised to raise this with the Regulator and the Government. You said it was strangling the Company. What progress have you made?

2. You were dumbfounded at the extent of restrictive regulation to the extent that you found in the UK. You told us no other postal operator in the world faced this amount of regulation. You promised to take this up at highest levels. What progress have you made?

3. You believed that Royal Mail suppliers were milking RM and promised to pursue this. What progress have you made?

4. You believed that the previous regime (Crozier/Leighton) had performed a great smoke and mirrors trick with RMG finances. You were getting to the bottom of this. Subsequently you have said that the finances are perilous and that little progress had been made on achieving savings through business transformation. The Senior managers who estimated savings from the national agreement, that they negotiated, are the same senior managers who polished the egos of Leighton and Crozier. Would compulsory redundancy not be more appropriate for them than hard working OPG and DOM's?

5. Finally you told us that it did not matter who owned Royal Mail and couldn't understand why this bothered us. Well you will now know that RMG will not survive as an entity if sold off. Instead it will be broken into seven seperate businesses. Terms and conditions of a loyal workforce and service to the public will become secondary to shareholder profits. Do you still believe it does not matter who owns Royal Mail.?

Hopefully one of your top people will bring this post to your attention and an answer would be appreciated.

moya greene does not give a single atom of care about the work force, delivery or any other department,,,,, what really annoys me is her comments in the courier,, lying about what moya says about the work force doing a great job,,, moya,,, just be honest and say i don't give a s**t about royal mail employees,, people are just a sacrifice to the cause..

Therefore the UK has been made into one large round and will be completed by a man named Dave. We hope these cuts will help us tackle the problem of price capping with regardes to the competition, and are confident that the reduction in customer service will go unnoticed by a majority of the public, who we don't like anyway cos they all smell of wee!"

She ruined Canada post are we going to just roll over and let her do the same to Royal Mail? I'm not just talking from a job point of view but from a historic point of view. Why should we let this women come along and run a bit of british history into the ground just to make a quick profit and line her own pockets.

Madmartin at least canada post union fought against her plans and finally they pushed her out maybe our union needs the same backbone and courage and maybe we can do the same.
