How do you deal with a dodgy dom?

Got another new dom in February this year, they last 18 months max in our place. Since then I have witnessed him bullying and harrassing staff, leaving rounds uncovered on days off for the regular postie to deal with next day, leaving mail in the office every day and have personally caught him lying to me and about me on four occasions. What exactly do we do? Rep has lodged complaints and there's been several grievences put in already but how can you deal with somebody who you know is lying to your face even after you point out you know whats going on?

Any suggestions? and BTW has any office in Chesire lost a dom recently as I think thats where this joker came from.

Fair enough, but it was the OP's first ( & so far only ) post, so would he know that BT was joking? Would he also know that some RMC members have been disciplined after they have been identified for comments they have posted? Could he have inadvertently identified himself in the open forum, and at a later date condemned himself with comments made out of frustration or anger?

Ok, it's a lot of ifs, coulds & maybes, but it has happened before, and comments will be taken out of context to secure a "result", and he won't be offered a mulligan if he posts ID information, just cos "he new to it & doesn't realise he can dob himself in it."

Right, that's enough preaching for now

I conceed I have no way of knowing, but I'd rather be overly cautious, than to hear of someone getting done cos they didn't know any better - FFS I'm acting like a new dad worried about every little sniffle his child has

maybe I need to lighten up a lot more.

We can't go on together with suspicious minds.

You'll notice I did keep my post nice and vague to protect the innocent. My point is that this new DOM seems to be disregarding any notion of service we've got left. We've had bullying, lying and harrassment from previous guys but this one is something else. Have RM just decided to go all out to cripple the business before selling up?

Oh and any suggestions on how to deal with this sort of behaviour would really be appreciated.

Tell him that you have no trust in him and from now on you will be recording every conversation you have with him, and if necessary having informed him that you are recording your meetings, that you are justified in using them in the future at any disciplinary hearing or tribunal. You will probably have no further trouble from him, because all these people are gutless when confronted.
