1in4 sats off or 75%25% its a trade off
Been advised today we will increase our full-time quota in my office by 23 if we stay with 1 in 6 saturdays. if we go 1 in 4 no one will be made up.

Or thats the way the planner bulides the duties.peterloo wrote:Apparently that is the way the duty builder crumblesBT2010 wrote:FECK THAT is the rep in the know?
you can have 3 f/t for every one p/t and still have 1 in 4 sats off for all.
3 f/t have rotating day off ......mon-tue-(thur/fri)-sat
p/t works as floater doing 3 full days.

Sounds like a good deal for the part timers wanting to be made up don't see what the full timers get out of it though.peterloo wrote:Been advised today we will increase our full-time quota in my office by 23 if we stay with 1 in 6 saturdays. if we go 1 in 4 no one will be made up.

We have this system full timers always work tues and wed and having a rotating day of mon, thur, fri and sat. Part timers never work tues, wed and work 3 full days mon, thu, fri and sat with a rotating day off...so when it's there weekend off they finish friday and return the following thursday...not to bad really.BT2010 wrote:belle smith wrote:Or thats the way the planner bulides the duties.peterloo wrote:Apparently that is the way the duty builder crumblesBT2010 wrote:FECK THAT is the rep in the know?

That's the system we went with in the end.citypostie wrote: We have this system full timers always work tues and wed and having a rotating day of mon, thur, fri and sat. No complaints after 5 months. We also have a large number on the 1 in 6 week off scheme.
It didn't stop us increasing our full-time ratio either
The only thing that effected the ft/pt split was the delivery span..longer more full-time..shorter less.
good times, bad times you know I've had my share

Re: 1in4 sats off or 75%25% its a trade off
We also have a few 4 days weeks but they are going soon. The number of f/t has shot up I reckon about 3/4 of pt have gone full time now but we need em to do the walksorting otherwise we would never have a chance of getting out the office in time to have a hope of completing the new duties. The section with 4 days weeks on the otherhand are laughing....come in full prep(apart from the 4 day weekers) and out on delivery by 8.30 and back early....they are in for a shock when the 4 day deliveries go and they are in the same boat as the rest of us.fishtank wrote:That's the system we went with in the end.citypostie wrote: We have this system full timers always work tues and wed and having a rotating day of mon, thur, fri and sat. Also another strange/wrong think is the pt on the 3 day weeks are only needed to work 24 hours a week (3 x 8 hour days) but some are on 29 hour contracts. They have been told they will owe the office 5 hours a week - talk about having people over a barrel.
