i get the feeliing we will owe them money, not royal mail giving us any value to these shares at all.........

Recently, the Union had written to Royal Mail on a number of issues associated with the Colleagueshare Scheme. We have been told that Royal Mail are currently awaiting the outcome of an independent valuation of the scheme.

Do we have to sell them? cant we keep them and when royal mail is privatised see what we will get for our shares then? or are they calling them shares so that they can put a high value on them when they are giving them to us and telling us they are worth a lot and then buying them back when the value is low? Its like Del boy

RM shares ( when privatised ) will be "proper" shares ( ie they will have actual value in the real world - so if TNT buy 100% of shares, they can sell RM to DHL by any amount they like, be it 20%, 30%, 50%, whatever ) what we have are "phantom" shares, they exist in nothing more than an idea shared between RM, CWU & us....if you went to a stockbroker with tem, he'd laugh you out of his office ( and possibly charge you for the priviledge )

i think they were handed out in 2007 not sure if you started after that date but i would guess not.
