If your talking about wite stickers with bar codes printed in them in black ink then it's ones that have been sorted by a flat sorting machine. The bar codes are not compatible with any letter sorting machine

Wierd,isn't it? No matter where the address is on the envelope (usually flats) thats where the bar code is!

Why not kill them of as address is incomplete since you can't see all the address.

Managers on primary/secondary sorting often tell us to take C4 size envelopes out so that they can be sorted on the Tops 2000 fsm, to boost the machined throughput figures, when it would be quicker to sort them manually as they are already in our hands.
Looks better for their stats.

The stickers are RFID tags. Have you not had the sensors attached at entry and exit point at your office yet - you know those things at the side of shop doors but horizontally about 8 foot up.

They are supposed to track mail into and out of the office for performance measurement (so I've been told). All the ones over addresses (which is quite a lot) end up on the sorting room floor so I suspect our figures are a bit out.
