every time something in our office is happening, ie. bosses planning to do walk tests, van sharing getting abused by managers, big staff with managers meetings etc etc, the rep seems to be on leave or training at headquarters.......

is this a familiar trend any where else or just our office????

we dont have an inhouse rep, one of the full timers did it for about 6 months but had to admit defeat in the end.

we get a visit from some other rep every 3 or 4 weeks and he is quite helpful though often misinformed.

I think its actually the other way round. They don't happen to be away from the office when important things happen, its more likely that the Managers see an opening and plan it that way. Thats why like our place you need a core of "Union" people to keep an eye on things for them.

i think that is spot on they do look to have there meetings when there is no rep in our office they all so try to have small meetings rather then have a meeting on the floor divide and conquer i think is the saying
