When I joined about a year ago I remember reading about a Royal Mail career break option. Does anyone know how long you have to have been employed by Royal Mail to take advantage of this? How long can you take?
Anyone done it? What did you do?

Using the search filter I came up with the following - http://www.royalmailchat.co.uk/communit ... mit=Search" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; should find an answer in there somewhere.

Re: Career Break
You have to be employed by RM for 2 years, and you can take up to 3 years off as a Career Break.
There is a bit in the Downloads section about it: download/file.php?id=482

Re: Career Break
I want to go traveling, and it would be nice to have the luxury of knowing when I come back that I'll have a guaranteed job. Shame I have to have been with RM for two years though, as I was planning to leave in 3 months time and have only been employed by RM for just over a year.Sippin40oz wrote:You want to leave and come back?!
I want to travel the states mainly, although want to do Thailand, Philippines, and some other places.
