Christmas cards

i know each area has its own problems but just let you know about ours,,,its thur 30/12 and in work this morn is close to full yourk still of christmas cards fresh in from the mail centre.
so whilst primary sorting we then start to notice the postmarks,,,11th,,13th,,,14th dec,,,,,,this is absolutly pathetic,,,,and even cards posted on the 11th in the next postcode area only reaching the delivery office now,,,,cards from the next county taking weeks,,,,its crazy,,,when u go out and post them your embarrassed to be posting them,,,,,yeah we had some bad weather but come on,,,getting on close to 3 weeks late.....somebody somewere needs to be held accountable,,,,even to go as far as somebody from the top coming out with a publice appology,,,,and not a pathetic attempt to blame somebody/something else for the delay.
were an office that hasnt had the revisions yet so we were working as normal.....well as normal as things can get

No doubt the super efficient MC revisions/rationalisation program is helping with all this.
When they announced the switch to one outward pass I just assumed they meant "daily" not monthly

The truth of how bad this xmas was planned will out itself.
As you say the dates on the cards dont lie, cards with 12th,13th etc where posted well before the snow.

2 yorks of cards today, lots dated from the 6th, so I can only assume that these where all taken to some 'depot' and only being released now.


also heard that NIMC has cancelled everyones leave for next week because they can't get the stuff sorted

didn't RM spend billions buying new equipment to make them more efficient

Its Pathetic,Feels bad enough delivering mail later than ever before,Now we have to put up with posting xmas cards up to 3 weeks late.

The last 2 days in work summed up in one word..............................ASHAMED!!

C'mon guys/lasses, we've all worked long enough with RM, what else do you expect but a complete shambles. Some walks have trays and trays of mail still sitting and I don't see how they will be able to catch up. Added burden walks far too long.

Isn't that illegal ? considering you may already have booked your dream holiday to USA/Spain/Canaries that you saved up for a long time, only for somebody to snatch it off you, you would have to jump through the hoop to claim from your Holiday insurances for cancellations.

I would go ahead anyway and face the music afterward.

Whats laughable about the new equipment R/M have spent millions on is that abroad there near obsolete and they were using these machines 10 years ago.

R.M are a disgrace and the service they now provide is a joke and no one is doing sweet FA about it .
