Warm as toast today, those coats were and are far superior to anything RM have had since.

Thats the baby. I actually thought someone had rogued it from where I had it hung up next to my frame, badge as well.

Turns out it had been in me cupboard at home, safe and warm and ready for another Xmas.

Those jackets were warm and pockets were alot deeper than the ones that we wear now.

Clarks shoes were the best as well...shame they don't make them like they used to.

How right. and they lasted, this cheap stuff is a false economy! I go back to the time uniforms were made to measure! you waited weeks for them, but they fitted perfectly, and lasted and lasted! Remember the sort of twill effect trousers, that seemed to throw of the rain? I'm ashamed of what I have to wear now!

Still got mine too and use it from time to time, but it's not as warm or waterproof as my Bush jacket with thermal lining.

I've had my thermal jacket since I joined 12 years ago. Mine too is getting abit frayed round the edges but it keeps me lovely and warm. The storm proof coat is too cumbersome to wear and the fleece/harringtons are too short. They don't cover the tops of your legs so I get a windchapped bum and legs!!!

You should really be wearing some trousers, I know I get into trouble for that too
