All true.

Yesterday one Postie came in , on his day off, to throw in his D2D's. And was astounded to see that his walk was not going out (so that meant that today he would have two days mail)

A Lino said to him... ' well as you are in could you prep that anyway in readiness for tomorrow?'

Guess what , he did ; plus the D2D.

He explained this to me this morning. He came in on his day off and worked for free!!!

Laugh at the fool (that's what the managers would have done).

And if it's his day off is he officially allowed in the building?

Cry for the demise of a once great job ruined by the morons who to be honest astound me with their ability to even stand up without falling over...
If evolution is natures selective improvement of the species what the f**k are these guys adding to the gene pool.
Maybe nature is heading in a different direction and we'll all end up back on all fours picking fleas out of each others hair and wondering why the job is as s**t as it is..

There is a postie at our office whos round is far to big.He does not do ips as he has to throw is walk in. What does he do ?? He pays someone ten quid to do part of his delivery and then books an hour ot to get his money back. The managers know all about it ...ffs...you couldnt make it up

Fish, I believe that Royal Mail has become a charity and is now asking for volunteers and there seems to be no end queing up for the job.

There's a postie at the frame next door to mine that comes in early every morning to finish prep for free, so that he does not go over (but if he does it isn't claimed either), unreal!

You should've pulled all his mail out so he had to do it all again in work time, teach him for being such a soppy T***

There's a guy on our section who is on the same part time contract as me. He comes in EVERY day an hour and a half early and works for nowt. He actually beats some of the full timers into work in the morning.

Makes you wonder if some of these "posties" aren't actually doing the job to try to earn a living - seems they're living off past salaries/redundancy payoffs/pensions etc and just doing it to earn a bit of pin money (and get from under the wife's/husband's feet at home) ...

we start at 6.30..lunatics come in at 5 even tho there's fook all mail in till 5.30.Even part timers,madness
they sit on there frames having there breakfast.

Redbagman, I am sure you are right that there are many part timers that do this to top up a pension or some other form of income, but to come in early to work for nowt, I cant see that. I reckon they are either lonely, not happy in their relationships, or just can f..cking sleep.
