Well it worked for two years with a limited number, 14 vehicles - we now have 26 shared vans, it's early days but I'm sure it will be made to work one way or another.

What must be realised is that the system has to be worked as it was designed to be used. There are some who obviously don't want to change and would prefer to be lone cowboys, using a car, rushing around, cutting corners. The sad fact is that many of these changes have been brought about by just that attitude. Even now you see people coming in to work an hour early to prep work................now how many jobs would you see advertised as must work for nothing to complete the tasks.

The problem is that some still do not see that the answer is to do the job properly, something the union tried to get through but obviously not clearly enough.

i intend to do just that dvbuk and i'll then wait for the pressure to be put on from the lm's but they can do one, because i'm going to play by their rules

I was just about to start a new thread...but you beat me to it.

I am curious to know if any office out there has succeeded...answers on a postcard. When the s*** hits the fan next week in my office i will be keeping my head down and getting on with the job till the clock strikes 14:30 then its home time.

Take no bull from the doms, a few things they might say to me and others:

According to geo route you should be finished on time.
Teething problems on the first day just work over your time and we'll sort it out later
Its quiet today i see no reason for you to cut off
Your not prepping quick enough its a performance issue
That street takes 10 mins to do not 20 mins
I can get you fired if you don't take all that mail out

Any hassle i will be filling out a grievance form.

Our office was trialing park and loop, the only snag was only a few were doing park and loop. It worked on quiet days but not on busy days.
The problem is the computer says walks are only 3 hours 30 mins but in reality he walks could be 4 hours +. Something that RM don't grasp.

My sector in my office started park and loop yesterday. Most left the office between 9:30 - 10:30am, we left after 11 so didn't start until about 11:20. Finished at bang on 3pm which isn't too bad all things considered. It must have been a turd day for some others though, i saw a few returning to the office as i was on my way home at about 3:30! The walks me and the guy i'm paired with are achievable in the time allocated, but i get the impression that a few are a bit too big. The only problem i see with it is when there are loads of packets to deal with. Early days, I'll just have to see how it goes.

It needs a shake up, reorganisation and sever the links with the employer - something that has always been a weakness - you cannot ride two horses at once unless you're a circus act..........................speaking of which I sometimes think what a good idea it would be to have a hot branding iron "Don't come in Early"................................
