Re: REPICK
Quite a drastic change methinks if you are getting 50 houses PLUS a WHOLE other round added.
So into the repick I would say.

This ain't no baseball game, you get only one chance and you blew it.

Re: REPICK
From what I have heard there is no set % where duties can be left out of a repick only that there is no major changee. Unfortunately I would think a change of delivery method (Cycle to CDV) would count as Major Change.shepherdess wrote:If you have been on your own walk for over a year. And your walk only gets another fifty calls added to it does this mean that your walk does not have to go into the repick. I have been told that this is the case if your walk does not change by more than 25%. Also its going from a bike duty to a cdv. Any help with this is much appreciated
Will post a quote or link here if I can find one. I have Section 16 and sub paragraphs apply I think (on Page 29)

Re: REPICK
I would imagine that the change in delivery methods alone would constitute major change...as would any change in indoor work/attendance patterns and start/finish times.....it isn't just the number of calls.shepherdess wrote:If you have been on your own walk for over a year. Re: REPICK
Bit selfish trying to find reasons to keep your present walk in a re-pick. Apart from any duties ring - fenced for health reasons every duty should go into a re-pick if there has been a revision no matter how small some of the changes have been. The reason we are in this mess is down to selfishness on alot of peoples parts over the past few years.

Re: REPICK
TBH I dont think its selfishness -its human nature to dislike change and change of delivery area and method can be quite daunting to some.celerycelery wrote:Bit selfish trying to find reasons to keep your present walk in a re-pick. Re: REPICK
Daunting? Surely shoving letters through a letter box is the same wherever you do it. Takes time to get used to a new delivery but it aint rocket science. Re-pick means just that. Wait till its your turn and pick a duty from whats left. Next people who have been on a duty over christmas will claim they can keep it at the next re-pick cause they did the round during the heaviest time of the year.TrueBlueTerrier wrote:TBH I dont think its selfishness -its human nature to dislike change and change of delivery area and method can be quite daunting to some.celerycelery wrote:Bit selfish trying to find reasons to keep your present walk in a re-pick.
