Another lapsing question

Don't know if this question has been answered before.We lapse 3 days a week the problem is the duty that is lapsed is the same duty that is lapsed on the first day of sickness,what do other offices do about this problem as we have to come up with a solution.

If somebody goes sick, OT gets paid to cover the duty...
How can you lapse if your exsisting duties are optimised???

lapsing is done within the duty time
if you have time while taking full breaks and starting on time
then theres no issue

We use lapsing as an excuse to cover sick leave too

The number of duties lapsed depends on how many people are on the sick. Everybody claims overtime.

Get the line manager to problem solve, that's what they are paid for, If lapsing is gonna take you over your time then tell the line manager that you will work to time, they CAN'T make you work over your time

We have a revision team made up of posties so we don't get screwed over and it worked well so far.

Anyone that does lapsing needs their heads testing seriously. Take your time. Slow down. Work your hours. Talk to ould Woman out their. bring their milk in. Do anything. Kill time. Tell them get stuffed….

Careful there,just do the job properly and at a steady and un dangerous pace,not half the stuff you have mentioned tbh.
