Overtime (Again)

I left RM 2 years ago over a dispute about worked and yet unpaid OT which resulted in an Employment Tribunal which came out in my favour. Do any Blueshirts know of any other trade that is UNIONISED where, if you go over your hours, they don't f***ing pay you? When I went to the ET, I did it for myself, no backing from the union. From reading recent threads on here, the problem has not gone away, it's got worse. Anybody want a copy of my judgement? The union didn't want to know then, and as they got you boys and girls such a good deal last time, they don't wan't to know about the day to day s**t and the so called agreements (Local???) that should be in place. Don't know why I am so angry about it as I have been gone a while but I don't like to see people taken advantage of.

Apparently were in efficient with our time so no overtime being paid i would like to see your judgement.

If you are inefficient with your time, it's up to Royal Mail to train you. You should still get paid for all hours worked though, before during and after this 'training'.

Thanks again . If only people knew ,so many would be better off. Beggars belief why our union aren't shooting this judgement from the rooftops

B mate, I got this judgment from whitemoor when he got it and I've tried to get people to fight RM because of it but they won't because they're too scared that they'll lose all their OT

but until everyone stands up to RM they will always think they can get away with.

Sorry to people who are waiting a response from the pms, you will get it tomorrow am. I have been away this weekend. If you would like to discuss anything with the perjurers I was in court with and Tim Nice But Dim ( Barrister that must have cost them thousands) so they can let you have their side, I can provide contact details. My judgement is in the public domain so it is there for anybody who would like to see justice done. I have no prob with my judgement being easily accessible to anybody who wants to read it on this site. Can't believe RM still try this s**t on about getting people to work for f**k all.

wont pay any overtime in my place as dom said you went home earlly monday and tuesday you owe us hours so if you work late thus or fri you can not book

Ask him to show you the national agreement for that,he wont be able to,but ask anyway for comedy value.

I am pleased you won your case but I am not aware of any time that the union has ever told you to work beyond your time without overtime or in the case of pay and mod a 30 min flex which has to be paid back within the same week. Now I dont know the details of why the union did not support your case but the union does not reprsent every indivdual who goes to a tribunal.

Not really the point Dingo. As I remember, the case centered on a short hours contract where OT was worked as routine. The defendant won a payment that made up the shortfall in his pension or holiday pay that would have accrued had this regular OT been part of his contract. He would have won payments for both if he had acted within the required time frame if I remember correctly
