Got a query,is there such a thing as a transfer list where we could look at who wants to move and shake ect?
I Wrote-During Covid-Which is still relevant now
It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

I transferred 2o odd years ago and was on the transfer lists to several offices I fancied moving to. Getting to the top of the list could take a lifetime with low turnover - places like Lake District, Devon etc. I could phone an offices Personnel Dept and they could see what number I was on the list. At the time the rule was one tranferree accepted to every 5 new recruits in each office. You can exchange offices with someone willing, whether on the list to your place or not. I dont think they will let you have look at the list though (confidentiality).

I transfered to the peak district 7 years ago onto a lovely rural round,it took me 3 years to get it though,after my first transfer request was lost without me knowing.Luckily the lads in the office told me that there was a driving vacancy,so i did all the spadework and got it.Ive never looked back since. :Very Happy

whereabouts in the peak district are you? i'm looking to transfer there. i have a form to fill in with five choices of offices i would like.
