Is this allowed...today in our office the manager told us that we had two days to deliver voting reminder letters, which were to every house. These were 2nd class and would normally be taken in one day but because he knew that if these were included in todays amount for the office that the lapsing would not be feasible. This would result in the linos taking out some delivery . Is this allowed or should this not be classed as wilful delay of mail.

if managers delay the mail its called controlled carry over, if a postman does its called wilful delay!

its managers discretion, rules are changed on a daily basis, and if you are willing to help them out.

maybe be different for each office but we have always had 2 days for the electoral role. Also given a week for BB items.
