rehab being ignored by manager

I've been off work for the last month and am due to go back next week, occupational health rang me to decide what i could do when i go back and told me i couldn't carry a pouch for 2 weeks and so would only be able to do half a delivery as its a cycle round and would mean carrying small bundles at a time. My manager has decided that if i use a hct i can do the full delivery as he says i wont have to carry a pouch yet the round is a cycle round entirely on hills. It was my understanding you cant use hct on hills so im not prepared to do it as i'd have to leave it at the bottom and carry a pouch to the top. My manager says it doesn't matter how long it takes me to deliver because he will just have my round prepped for me and use all my contracted hrs on delivery, can he force me to be out delivering beyond 3hrs30? Can he change my start time because im coming back on rehab? He's said if i dont want to do all that i can just say i dont need rehab and go back on full duties. My reps involved but the manager seems intent on doing what he wants, any advice on how to deal with this? Thanks

Typical manager. I'm on light duties aswell and when one of the LM's got hold of the ATOS report he said he did'nt have to take the advice.........well YES he does and the same applies to your manager. Have a word with your rep. You cannot use an HCT on hills and also it will be heavy to push, so if you are having trouble carrying small bundles you would'nt beable to push a HCT. Ask him where he got his medical diploma from, bunch of chancers!

go back tell him you want atos back on the phone and tell him you want atos to come out with you to assess what you can and carnt do that works in most cases

Ask him to put his version of the rehab plan in writing for your careful consideration.
I just bet he can't find a pen.....or some paper....or his spine.

I'd get ATOS back on the phone if I were you.

They have said you are fit to do half the round and not carry a pouch. He's saying you're fit to do a full round a push a laden trolley up hills (something I personally know isn't easy in full fitness!!).

Ask him for his version of the rehab plan in writing and his medical qualifications.

It transpires the manager has got occupational health to add to their assessment of what i am capable of doing and is adamant my phased return can only be accomodated by a change in the hrs i work, 10-3 instead of 7-12, which he is perfectly aware i cannont accomodate. He's realised if he makes it that difficult for me i will simply have to go back on full duties and he wont have to find others in an office sick of overtime to do what i cannot. Looks like he's won as time is running out to resolve this and i dont want to be signed off again, am concerned if i go back on full duties and cant cope then go sick again, i will doubtless be on a stage as it is, he still has the cheak to say its all for my own well being
