EVR Question

If your office is in the process of a revision that has not been finalised or agreed and the date 1st Oct 2010 is passed by, who is entitled to any EVR packages on offer? In short, does seniority come into play rather than old selection process? Or does the old selection process take precedent as revision negotiations had already started?

I understand it to be 55-60 at the moment.... However from next year I understand it to be all senority ... I stand to be corrected...

carlisle are going through this at this time and we were told that as it will take upto 3 months to implement we could use seniorty as the main criteria for allocating any vr's.after october all vr's will be on senoirity.

Senority has to be fairest ..Never understand why someone aged 60+ can walk away with 2 years pay, even though their drawing a pension and while most of em would be senior men....not all are....

We were told that seniority would replace age 55-60 after october...but then again who do we believe!

It should - it's part of the 2010 & Beyond Agreement.

we have been told there is no EVRS at all and thats final mmmm

We have been told that there will be no EVR in our office to, we have 5 surplus staff at the moment, our rep has been informed that these 5 maybe asked to help out at other mail centres in the local area.

The thing is are these other places not under revision as well so how do the powers that be know there will any vacancies?

Not sure myself on that one, dont think management are too sure either but perhaps they just want to payout evr as a last resort and maybe hope that in the near future people will leave.

told around a third of deliverys going (about 45 )plus lost 8 people to wsm ,but no EVR,s -obviously hope people will leave for nothing ,not falling for that one i,m afraid.
