Part timers in our office start around 7.45 or later ,but there all coming in hours before there time,as there jobs are meant to be boxed in for them but arent! managers winning again me thinks!

The problem is its "dog eat dog" when it shouldnt be. If everyone came in on time, did the job, cut off, didnt use cars etc I am sure RM would soon realise what they are asking isnt generally doable. Speaking as a part timer and car user who comes in early so I can finish on time at least occasionally I would love to do the job as it should be done. Problem is just about everyone else in the office doesnt, so have I got the bottle or can I even be bothered to challenge the status quo when I have only been here a relatively short time ?,,,Well, "NO" is the answer to that. It strikes me that the union rep (or the CWU) should try and mobilise people to stand together. If I knew who ours was id probably ask him !! Instead they probably spend most of their time sat with the Managers playing on their laptops and conjouring up the latest baffling three letter acronyms to bamboozle us with,, The managers arnt winning we are defeating ourselves

Well more hours are generally there if you want them and sometimes when you dont !!,,Working your day off,,,doing an extra third etc etc,,,Thats hardly the point really...

Sad to say, this is happening in our office, and i'm sure is replecated around the country.
The part timers are browbeaten into coming in early, fearing that if they don't comply, they will not be kept on.
Sadly RM will screw them into the ground, until they are of little or no use.
It's a sad truth, but RM could not give a monkies about any of their staff, but the PT's seem to be on a hiding to nothing.

Well stand up to them, they wanted these starts with a promise that all walks would be thrown in and ready to go when they come in, at last the 09.00 starts in our office have said enough is enough they are not starting early , the dom has a meeting on thursday with the union with the rep wanting to know why these walks are not ready if we have spare hours of indoor work, it looks like the staff have now woken up and are standing as one fingers crossed i think our dom is sh*tting himself now more and more staff are taking thier goodwill away.

if u walk in and theres pile son desk to straight to manager - make a point of them seing it

could u imagine working in a factory where your left with a massive backlog bcos sum one couldnt be arsed? f**k THAT

either that or come in early and work for 2 horus free - WTF at that time of the morning aswell are u f***ing mad

post bitch is right dont be afraid to come in at your proper time. if you havent had a proper throw in, then this has a knock on effect for indoor working hours and can be used by your rep when management come looking to take hours out that arent there. if you havent got time to complete your duty, its the same for full and part time GET AN INSTRUCTION.
