Got in at 6:15 this morning to find just 8 postmen to throw in 22 walks and do the full prep on IPS and all this in a big urban postcode area on a busy day of the week. It is always the same and never gets any better. Management just don't care at all and just expect us to do everything with a smile. We really need some new full time staff to come in and help us prep but they just will not listen. I am part time doing three days a week and only took the job because I got told at the interview that I would get full time within a year - that was 5 years ago and I am still waiting. What is wrong with these people? Our managers only care about getting the walks thrown in for the part-timers arriving at 9:30 and don't give a toss about IPS and somehow expect it to get done with only 2 postmen to throw in. The only other thing they care about is getting us to do extra (flexing) and how much we take. Tosspot expects me to push an HTC 2 miles uphill at the end of my duty and then do extra work that they should be employing someone to do and then have a go at me if I book over (told him to do one btw). If I work to time or cut off..... Don't even think about that. Yesterday we did not get off IPS until 9:00 witch just happens to be break time, finished break and went to prep frame, 9 boxes including 4 sequenced to throw in in half an hour. Management then pull us all off again and do a WTL session talking about leaving strapex on the floor and coffins in the yard! Makes my blood boil - it is just complete rubbish.
