Does anyone know if the delivery of Mailsort 3 on a Saturday has changed since the new agreement??
I have noticed increasing amounts of Mailsort 3 on a Saturday @ our office but as we dont have a shop steward to ask, and we havnt seen our local rep for weeks to ask we are in the dark..
Can we leave it until Monday......

We're allowed to leave it, but I see little sense in not taking it where you're going anyhow.

If you're a reserve then I would leave it as you can bet whatever frame you're on Monday will have left it for you!

I'm afraid you will have to ask your rep.
Saturday attendances and all that goes with them are very much "local agreements" and vary from office to office.
Some offices have agreed to take mailsort 3 to aviod lapsing on a saturday and some haven't.
It will all be immaterial shortly when the revisions kick in and saturday becomes a "normal" day.

For some reason now we have been told by the ADR(By email apparantley) that we have to take it.
Now i don't really give a feck about it as i usually take it as there is naff all of it on Saturdays.
But the national agreement has not changed yet as we have not had our revision/longer Sat bits,and i'm guessing most of you are in the same boat as well.

I Wrote-During Covid-Which is still relevant now
It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

Manager told me on Thursday, Saturday will be one of the busiest days of the week come October so everything will go.

None went out today and as we don't take mailsort on Saturday it will be Monday at the earliest, but hey who give f#ck.

I can't see why it gets left on Saturdays, chances are that the companies sending it will just use DSA instead, meaning that you'd still have to deliver it but RM would get less money.

Simples really - Those DOs that allow MS3 to be "left in" on Saturdays have "significantly" shorter attendances as per the SDD agreement. Therefore there are less hours to both sort and/or deliver on Saturdays if we did deliver/sort them then we prove to Management that we can do 8 hours work in 7 hours.
