My CWU rep is useless (and is never about) - so what is going on?
It's the first I've heard of this. But as far as I'm aware, the agreement is basically a contract. So if RM refuse to give the agreed pay rises, they would be in breach of contract, and we could take them to Court. Although I'm not 100% sure of that. Hopefully, someone else will be able to tell us if I'm right about this.

i thought all the money for machines etc was supplied by a goverment , sounds like another sob story get the begging hat out , more penny pinching ideas .
The Government will not give Royal Mail Money anymore, if the Government is cutting private sector jobs such as the police they will not give Royal Mail money, Labour bailed them out to often remember the CONSIGNIA.
Bullshit,there is a 3 year deal,there is money in the bank for the equipement,a company this size would not do a deal that they couldn't afford.
The 2010 agreement will also save RM hundreds of millions a year.

Problem is Cameron has pulled the plug on the schools etc whats to say he dont want the Government loan back wouldnt put it past him

Of course they can't pull the loan back,it's pratically spent.

we were told today in wtl that they had no money, could we think of ways to save some, and in our area essex they were taking a van from each office. all our vans are assigned to dutys, we haven,t a spare and can see fun and mountains of parcels, happy days
no money in our work time learning we were handed a pen and a key ring then the clown(dom) told us not only are we absorbing 5 jobs we are going to have to prep all other jobs befor we go out we are very under staffed at present oh yer the clown also said the mail has droped off befor long i thionk his head will
I hope thats what they do for us Maiden, because more indoor work means less outdoor. Work your hours, no more, no less and then see what this DOM does when he has loads of cut offs to manage.
