Got back from my round today and there was a letter from the DOM waiting,he had gone home.

It was a request for a meeting to discuss my attendance record and whether to issue a stage one.

Hmm! thinks I , I don't think I have had that much time off so I glanced at the paperwork of which there were three sheets all with my name ,pay number ,date of birth and date of entry which was correct.
Glancing down I noticed a few years ago I had been bitten by a dog, I must be getting senile because I do not recall ever being bitten (touch wood).

Glancing down further still I had had time off with marital problems and my husband had left me which news to me and the missus.

What raised my eyebrows the the fact that I had had maternal leave and later a Hysterectomy, so that is why I am putting on weight and she got pregnant and not me !!!.

The blurb on his letter was the usual " I have read your attendance report and I am concerned etc"

yeah like hell he did.

We are a small office and the records are not relevant to anyone in our office, god knows who's they are though!.

You've got to feel sorry for your DOM, clearly the drugs ain't working. Time to refer him to a psychiatric counsellor.

Take a copy of this and keep it safe and when you have your meeting then ask for details of each absence

Also they have a duty to have accurate records under the Data Protection Act otherwise you could if they don't amend them take them to court,not that I've ever done that.

Have you seriously considered the possibility that your DOM can't actually read?

The details come from HR... they're the ones that trigger the warning.

However, giving it to you is just plain stupidity.
