Bundling up

Takes me ages and i find it hard to get the elastic bands around them. any tips?

How long is "ages" on a average day - I usually taken between 20 and 30 minutes,

Try making smaller bundles - some in my office have only 4 very large bundles in their bags whilst I can have 8 - 10 small ones but I find it easier to bundle up that way and less chance of them falling apart in the pouch or in my hand.

Smaller bundles. LOL.

Sorry, but I tend to go with smaller bundles. When the bands snap, and they will, usually when it's pissing down, the mail goes flying everywhere and there you are scrabbling about in the wet trying to put everything back in order (not forgetting the 4 D2Ds for each address).

As regards taking ages. Well once you've done the duty a fair few times you'll find that you get a lot quicker.

Bands are not supposed to be used for bundles, we use string for that, bands are only for individual drops.

What Straight4ward said. I got taken off my regular walk this week, and today it took me 40 minutes to bundle up rather than the usual 20 minutes it takes on a monday, despite the fact that the walk I'm on this week is a bit lighter than my usual duty.
