How are we to know which addresses NOT to deliver Door To Doors to now that we don't get a weekly payment sheet listing "Do not deliver door to door items to the following:" ?

We have laminated cards on the frame with opt-outs on them.

we still get the sheet to fill in as they want to know that they have been done, also if you go sick they want to know where you have been with the D2Ds
our frames are not marked into 6ths yet, doubt they ever will be

Should be in your walk log or displayed prominently on the frame or both in my section.

They're not meant to be in your walk log.

They have a list of stuff that should and shouldn't be in there. Complete load of rubbish as they claim the A Plus print out showing the DPs shouldn't be in there either.

They DO, however, want to waste paper and duplicate the same information 3 or 4 times (hazards, dogs etc). If it's not going to be read ONCE, there's no point having it in there THREE times is there?!

I may be a little biased as I believe my template for walk logs is better, less duplication, less to read, but keeps all the vital info in there. Which, IMO, is what you want when you just want to quickly look thru it to find out where the hazards/dogs/house aliases are.

But hey, RM are committed to helping the environment aren't they?! Of course, reprinting 100 or so pieces of paper just because the DSM has changed yet again is very environmentally friendly and cost effective isn't it?!

D2D control sheets should still be printed weekly so you have an up to date list of opt-outs

Our DIM has had a great idea about this ........he scrapped it
We now deliver to everyone, and if the customer doesn't want them, they have to re-apply to get them stopped
Life in today's Royal Mail ..........great aint it !

The walk log should be updated by the Duty holder when any changes take place and the manager should be informed at the same time. The manager is then responsible for incorporating the changes in an official capacity (getting it typed up, amend the master WPQ1, WPQ2 and/or WPQ 3) and making the notices - highlighting the hazard addresses etc.

Basically if something changes the duty holder should put notes in the walk log and the manager makes it look professional and ensure it complies with H&S regs.

TBT might correct me here but I think the management can get into trouble if the WPMQ is not up to date. As for opt outs, out DIM had then same idea, he cancelled them all and made everyone re apply. Good old management they squeeze every last penny for RM

Sure can its a H&S issue and RM themselves audit it every so often (12 or 24 months cant remember) and I think HSE can check them out either as part of a review or during an investigation into an incident/accident.
