because maybe i just want a new bike didn't know i had to ask you if it was ok first, christ it must be a nightmare in your house, asking for your permission for everything.

No, i'll let you have one if you promise to ride it carefully and keep to the highway code.
Suspicion can arise though through getting bikes too frequently on this scheme, like someone I knew rode it to work only once, the bike was never seen again and we assumed he had sold it, then he was sacked for theft of mail, not of course that i'm suggesting that you're anything other than a decent, honest, hard working stalwart of the community.

I think that's the first time in 1732 posts that I've been ticked off for a "bad joke" but I shall try to do better in future and I shall of course continue to refrain from the loathsome practice of "name calling"
