Advise for part timer please re overtime etc Part 2

Just as a follow up to my last thread can I ask a few more questions please!?

1 Whats the official guideline (if any) regarding door to door prep - I am told I have to do this myself in my own time and If I go over my time and claim overtime for it then effectively RM are paying me twice - is this BS? I can clearly see that delivering door to door material will make the walk last longer (although not alot if spread over the week) but when you have 3 lots of leaflets to combine together it takes ages.

2. Whats the official guideline (if any!) regarding pouching off time/getting dibbed packets back to the DO? Is it 15 minutes?

3. Is there a guideline for time to get from the DO to the start of the walk (without a car and getting a bus can take ages)

give it another few weeks and youll be looking back at the three lots of leaflets thinking them were the days

3. Is there a guideline for time to get from the DO to the start of the walk (without a car and getting a bus can take ages) all within the duty time,more time travelling,less time delivering

In theory you should be allocated time to prep your D2D items. In reality you won't be. You will be expected to do it in your own time.
The withdrawn guidelines on D2D suggested 10 mins/day for 3 items.
Any undelivered items at the end of the walk can either be "pouched off" at a local Post Office or returned to the Delivery Office.
In our DO 15 minutes is allocated to conveyance to the start of your walk and 15 minutes at the end for pouching off.
Buses shouldn't really come into the conveyance part as you should be conveyed to the start of your delivery but if you are not, and are having problems getting to the start of your walk, talk to your DOM, your rep and your workplace coach. Someone should be able to come up with a solution.

have seen new document from RM looking at 6 d2d items 16% per day over6 days time for prep 14 mins.

1. Prep your door to doors in duty time. If you go over it's because it's busy and/or the workload for your duty hasn't been done properly. Claim overtime for prepping and delivering letters and packets. Don't mention door to doors.

2. Your duty should have a walk log. It should include pouching off and getting back to DO. Every walk could be different.

3. There is a guideline for getting to your first delivery point. It should be in your walk log. If not, ask your manager. It's his job to get you to your first delivery point (and back to DO) quickly and efficiently.
