Yeah some muppets heard the "Extra saturdays off" and thought "Oohh thats AWESOME" but didn't think that they'd HAVE to do MORE work on the saturday's that they ARE in work! Derp!

I don't think that you will be asked to cover l"lapsed" duties for the extra Saturdays off...in reality you will just have to adopt new working patterns ....

that explains some of the new attendances , in your office revision make sure you get a say on which shifts or hours you would like to adopt. Stand up for yourselves and don't let management bring in lapsing duties and extra work for you to enable the extra Saturdays off

Yeah but they could cut hours from a quieter day and add them to the saturday. MAybe take 1-2 hours off a tuesday and add them to a saturday to cover the rounds.

Well each office will be different.
Saturday is the ONLY day I get to see my friends and go for a drink. I also like going shopping on a saturday or maybe go to a game or pop off to the city.
I'm sure there's plenty of people here who are only able to do things on a saturday.

Likewise. Saturdays are important to us, the early finish enabled us to do what we wanted or needed. The prospect of later finish times on a Saturday will ruin many families weekends.
Unfortunately, we are not important enough to the CWU.

Must admit the all day Saturday thing has pissed me off more than anything else in this glorious agreement of ours.

Got two little girls & we love love doing stuff as a family on a Saturday afternoon,especially in the Summer,even if its just spending a few hours in the park.

All thats gone now anyway.

Bought about by a set of **** who will never have to adhere to such practices.
