A Colleague Owes Royal Mail Overtime???

A colleague of mine at our office went over on Monday by a Hour and he could see this was going to happen before he left the office, so he told one on the Managers and went through the right channels, on returning after his duty he asked the D.O.M to put him a hour on. the D.O.M said to him "if you finish early within the next few days I would expect you to deduct it off the hour, by the end of the week we should be straight" the same D.O.M tells people when claiming "did you finish early anytime this week where we can call it a draw" The union rep has had this argument with the D.O.M before about yesterday was history, and if someone finishes early its up to the D.O.M to find them work to make up the time. but the D.O.M is not listening..
Everyone is waiting around corners near the office now afraid of their life to come back early....

walk slower? it happens in our office alot and it still doesn't stop the chumps going back early. however, you could always rack up an hour a day and come in at 10 on a friday?? just a thought?

Pay & Modernisation. OK it was not exactly an "operational Failure". However as part of the "Enablers" to aid the agreement.One of them was a maximum of only 30 minutes.You have to come in early by that time within one week. If he says "We'll be square by the end of the week",state the above. Tell him you will be in an hour late on any day this week.Then you'll be straight!!

Why am i constanly reading of most people going back to their delivery offices after their duties? I'm in the West of Scotland and i've been in delivery for 11years and never once have i ever went back to the delivery office. Anything i have left to pouch off i hand into the closest post office, which is picked up by one of the drivers on a later collection. Why do people go back to their delivery office? And i don't know any managers that are in the DO''s after 1pm! :D

We've always returned to the DO but then vans and bikes need to be left back and the furthest anyone has to travel back is 20 miles (and they have a van).

Never heard of pouching off, everyone at my office has to go back and sign out some numpties try and sneak back in and sneak home 20 mins early though.
