We got a fresh batch of election material in today and a guy boxed in the majority of his.Noticed he seemed to be way faster than everyone else but thought no more of it.

Until he got to his bottom row and shouted out 'oh f**k are these things addressed!'
He'd already tied up 2 rows before noticing and had to bring them all back!

this is a blinder. one guy took his mail in a skip to the ramp to load his van. decided to visit the loo. drove to start of delivery 45 minutes away (about 30 miles) opened the door ,van empty . he forgot to load it . had to drive all the back to start again.
best thing though he did it again about 3 weeks later

Lad at our place got up for work, drove to the end of my road where he picks me up, waited for 10 minutes before heading to the office thinking I was late, arrived at the office to find the gates locked and no lights on, only THEN did he realise it was Bank Holiday Monday.

postie at our depot was out on delivery , was carrying a full bag and a very large bundle of mail in his hand. He was attempting to cross a very busy main road when the elastic bands on his bundle snapped and all the mail fell onto the road right in front of a bus . He had to bend down and try and pick up all his letters which were by this time blowing everywhere in the wind. By the time he had done this there was a queue of traffic behind the bus all blasting on their horns.Lol.

one of our posties was delivering town centre packets in a transit came out of a shop and jumped into a tv engineers van which was same colour and wondered why the key would nt turn in the ignition LOL! I cant believe he told us all silly bugger be got a good ribbing LOL!!

One of our rural drivers was out in quite an isolated area when he had a puncture. He phoned the office to say he couldn't change the wheel because the brace was the wrong size for the bolts! With noone available in the office the manager phones the garage for help,postie sits in his van for nearly two hours till mechanic arrives, he has a look and says, "right lets get these caps off the bolts"! Woops....



New recruit asked manager if she could use a trolley,manager tells her where to get one. She goes to get one and starts walking out the yard with her bag rotating round in "trolley". Looking puzzled she turns to group of us and says," how does this work"? Deadpan reply comes from old timer,"that's for gritting the yard doll"

True story :

One guy a few winters ago , got home about 1pm , knackered , straight to bed . Wakes up, 5:30 and pitch black - thinks oh heck im late !! Gets dressed walks it into work - gets there and wonders why all the afternoon staff are there so early - manager says why do you think you doughnut ??? He said "I wondered why the chippy was open and buses were scooting round all over the place" !!

I've nearly done that, fell asleep in bed when I got home, only to wake up a few hours later and think I'd slept all through the night and was late for work............boy did I feel stupid when I worked out that the time was PM and not AM (and since then I've changed my clocks to 24hr).

i went to work and wondered why the place was nearly empty - turns out full timers are out nearly an hour before part timers ..
so i start putting in the big pile of mail left behing by the full timers apparently this is meant to be prepped.
So in 45 minutes im expected to do nearly everything a ful timer does in 3 hours... and can finish killing off mail let alone prepping all my d2d....

Then i went on my walk and wondered why my walk took nearly 4 and a half hours when its supposed to be 3.5


turns out i cant complete this walk in time and they wont change it for me..

Heard this one before. It was boring after the seventeenth time.

Lad in our office goes out on delivery like any other day completes his walk and after completion goes home and continues his day !

Next morning PHG calls him to the cage to ask if he had a problem delivering a package to a customer ?

To which he replied no - not that he was aware of !

PHG then walks into managers office and returns with said packet with the letter box still attacthed as he had rammed it in so hard they had to remove it from the door still around the packet and still couldn't get items out !!!

Still smile about this today !
