This proposed agreement will not be voted in because not enough has been done to establish trust.

RM should prove its good intentions by dismissing rogue managers.

The union should put pressure on them to make them do this.

Not neccessarily. There's a difference between having a Witch Hunt, and giving up those who had their misdeeds covered up. Although, personally, I think it's going too far, asking for them to be summerily dismissed. Perhaps demoting them, so that they have to work as OPGs, would be a better punnishment.

But seriously: I'm sure most of us know of at least one rogue Manager, who's got away with something, because other Managers closed ranks around them. I think that it would build trust to come clean, and let them face the consequences of their actions/inactions. Not just because they would no longer be able to escape punnishment. But because it would make us more likley to trust the good Managers. Because in my experience, rogue Managers, are exactly that. Rogues. Not all Managers are like that, and in fact there are some very good ones. But sadly, they often get "tarred with the same brush" as the rogues. Because they're the ones who stick in your memory.

they're all rogues, doms just say and act exactly how they are told . as for them all being rogues, when we had that spell of bad weather which you might recall! our dom was told not to let us use the snow as an excuse not to go out on delivery and then added our safety was paramount, yeah right oh.

Without a doubt, the managerial structure within Royal Mail is lamentably poor, and more than a few in that particular toilet chain are due their comeuppance.
Those managers who couldn't run a piss-up in a brewery, and yet, bullied and harassed workers into trying to do the unachievable, should be demoted to deliveries, that would be what I call justice.

Totally understand your comments, however the bullying & harrasment stems from the top, seen some good managers go bad in my time,
due to nothing more than performance driven targets, why do you think we have offices on here with constant quality failures.
Unfortunately we stopped being a public service long ago. DOM says the bonus he gets is not worth the hassle/headaches & would much rather
of had realistic targets.
