Why can't we?
Why is it that currently we are not competing fully in the door 2 door Market? I have seen over the past 6 months an increase of the door 2 doors that I am delivering are actually from TNT. Now surly we should be able to cut out the middle man (TNT) and go direct to the customer! This is just another way of TNT making money from piggy backing on us!

They can do it cheaper, simple as that. This is why RML wants to lift the cap and not be tied to additional costs just for delivering them itself.

How can they possibly do it cheaper? Let me just run this process by you.
Example:
pizza hut approach TNT to deliver 200,000 leaflets TNT say sure we will deliver them for you at a cost of £5k. Then TNT approach Royal Mail and ask how much to deliver 200,000 leaflets to which Royal mail say we can do that for £3k.
See the problem here?? Now this is just an example so before people start going on about the figures!

Do Royal Mail need the money to accept Doors to doors crap. As there is too much of it as part of their business plan.

Well if we said no to TNT then they would not be able to deliver them so this goes straight back to where I started about cutting the middle man out and going straight to the customer. We need to get away from this false pretence that TNT are our customer!

1. We have very poor staff in the new business department who can't be arsed to go out and talk to these customers to generate new business.
Or
2. TNT get a special rate from Royal Mail due to them being a high sending customer sorry competitor!
