Yes!!!!!
The supplement is jack all to do with DTD, that is why it is paid to all D.O staff.
RML are simply redploying DTD and Shift allowance funds, rather than keeping those monies.

In answer to your question in recent polls customers have found door to door beneficial, even more so local and national business find our door to door service beneficialfly-catchers wrote:Hi

This is an ideal opportunity for us to secure full and part time employment, and to boost much needed revenue, and also to increase decreasing levels of mail by way of introducing door to door products into your daily workload.
This no doubt is the way forward to securing your jobs, and securing the future of royal mail
Vote yes to a brighter future for all

Not sure if i understand this correctly but, unaddressed leaflets can be delivered over the MON-SAT if the spec allows ratherpinstripe wrote:Another question, on a week where there is a bank holiday, would we have to do 25% a day instead of 20%?
Is there anything in this 'agreement' concerning this?

Re: D2D
We had a meeting with our Dom on Tuesday and he said that the d2d supplement is not pro rata
. But upon reading through the whole agreement i have seen in mention many time that it is pro rata
, Funnily enough it was only part time staff that was only present at the meeting i think he was just trying to keep us sweet. Has anyone else been told that it isn't pro rata??

Re: D2D
Yes Alan is is pro-rata but it is a delivery supplement not a d2d supplement. D2D's are now part of measured workload and paid in time.alan84 wrote:We had a meeting with our Dom on Tuesday and he said that the d2d supplement is not pro rata![]()

Re: D2D
Just one more point about d2d.
Day off cover to cover 5 walks so each walk leaves 20% for day off cover to do.Fair enuff.
But that means that each walk delivers 80% of the d2d except the day off cover who does 100%(5 x 20%)
A small point i know, but it highlights yet another bone of contention with the proposed d2d agreement.
And yes i am day off cover so feel a little aggrieved(to the tune of 20% )

Re: D2D
D2D will become a six day product not 5 as now.
= 16.66% a day = 83.33% over 5 days with day off = float and duty holders doing same amount.
Now that is based on a 5 day week with rotating day off, other duty structures would be different.
And that is not taking into account day specific D2D.
Hope this makes agreement more palatable for you kjm

higson just said there will be substantial job losses. how is loss of d2d payment and esa securing jobs?
Its just paying for the union to get their permanent place in the office.
Vote no for a fairer deal.

Re: D2D
At present you cant do D2Ds on Saturdays without permission so to take 5 x 20% means you get Saturdays off which means the duties you cover do not. Swings and roundabouts here I think. If you do work Saturdays then at 20% a day during the week and you would do 80%. Yes it is a fair system.kjm wrote:Just one more point about d2d.

Re: D2D
In answer to your statement, what we call our customers and what you call your customers are two different things. Your customers will no doubt love the fact that if this proposed agreement gets passed, we will be able to delivery bucket loads of crap through our customers doors. But how long will this last until OUR customers become aware that there is an opt out.I am number six wrote:In answer to your question in recent polls customers have found door to door beneficial, even more so local and national business find our door to door service beneficialfly-catchers wrote:Hi

Will this secure full time jobs, I doubt it very much. Greed will bring an end to D2D for Royal Mail as Your current customers switch to companies who don't have the opt out. But as the £20.60 is only a supplement that is easily taken away the business wont suffer too much.
