Taking Your Own Drop Bags Out

Is there a way to stop this? I'm aware that offices next to us (I was sent to them for cover) don't do it and just go out with the first bag.
How could you get an office to stop this practice?

It's been like that since I started.

Don't use your car.
I don't drive.
I'm talking about going around your boxes in the van before you start.I know this doesn't happen in other offices.

Drivers are supposed to drop the walkers out,then do the pouching,duties should be built around this,or is it a case of the driver wanting to be on a flyer.
I'm a driver btw.

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

Don't think this has ever happened at my DO. The postmen get dropped off by various means, someone else takes out all the bags. In some cases two do one village, or area, one PT one FT with a van. The FT drops off PT and his bags in various locations.

Managers can tell drivers to do what they want. You can only tell LM you don't have enough time - you should have atleast 3.5hrs delivery time each day - to complete and start working to your time. Something will happen.

That's never happened....ever.I know it should but it seems to be taken for granted that you drop your own bags off in our DO.

A severe lack of spare keys doesn't help.The amount of times I've took them home by mistake then got phoned up on my day off! :d'oh!

tbf I think it is factored in,as I do complete on time,in fact I'm usually under my time.Nothing to do with Job and Finish,but I really don't like the weight on my shoulder (flats and no other means to deliver bar carrying the bag) so I do go at a fair pace.I pouch off so it's all good :Very Happy

The only day I struggle is a Saturday as I only have 3 hours to do the duty in,as we locally agreed a 12 o clock finish (minus meal allowance).
