No london's unit reps briefing is on Monday 29th and is at friends house euston. The meeting tomorrow at conway hall is for the south east division, the anglia division and the south central division. All the units and area reps will be there. I think it maybe quite full.

Yes a couple of us are.I didn't want to go to be honest.I still cannot get around the issue of trust.The other parts I can understand why it is being done.However a couple of members are coming and taking it as annual leave which is quite refreshing.

If you are saying that we "abuse" release time,some of us reps,(area and unit),work way beyond our time.Do you know that when we give evidence at Employment Tribunals we take it as annual leave because the business,(obviously as we are giving evidence AGAINST them),will not release us?

What about Accompying members to Atos interviews?
Grievances against managers forms(on members behalfs), filled in after our duties?

An agreement such as this,(and let's be honest,regardless of what we think about it), is the biggest change in British Industry in a LONG time.Should we not have a right for the reps to at least hear why the Chief negotiators agreed it? Us as reps will make our own mind up. I know I will,(still don't trust "THEM" though)................

not for one minute am i suggesting that any rep is milking the system by having time off to attend meetings or tribunals etc what i am saying is isn't it marvellous that all reps are suddenly available to attend, is it because the cwu and rm need to desparately get reps to sell the agreement

Im just about to leave for it, I want to hear it all explained direct from Dave and Bob's mouths and then pass on info to my members to consider. They will be expecting to hear back from me , for or against its vital everyone understands why the Dave and Co are proposing this agreement and its only right and proper that Dave and co should explain it to the reps.

Ref the bold, surely you get the ET or IT judge to order any witness to attend the hearing, RM will then have to comply.
