Please, please read the question and options very carefully and vote with total honesty. I am very curious if people in deliveries and other units would put their long term job security on the line to fight for better working terms and conditions.

My own personal opinion is that I'd rather risk my long term job security to get better working terms and conditions right now. If this agreement goes through, maybe it will secure jobs in the long term however how many people will be threatened with the conduct code and the sack because they can't do what is being asked of them? Would you really want long term job security with an employer that has a very misleading and vague agreement which if your job depended on it you wouldn't have a leg to stand on?

I would never accept an agreement which left postal workers with worse terms & conditions at their place of work.

had to think about this long and hard

another 20 years certain of a job vs increasingly bad terms + conditions

i got this job when around 20% of the local population were out of work under thatcher (spit!!) and i was thankful to have it

now the working atmosphere in the office is corrosive to the soul but i'm still glad to have a job

no, i can't take this sh!te for the rest of my working life

While I agree that we need to secure our jobs for the future, the question has to be asked, what kind of job will it be? Loaded up like donkeys every single day, delivering D2D's 52 weeks of the year, including day specific ones on Xmas Eve, never mind every Saturday, worsening conditions year on year, pay freezes, conduct code for every single mistake, sacked if you are unable to do the job due to years of your body being punished beyond endurance. It won't be a job worth having. IF this agreement gets accepted, it will be the beginning of a long slide down, because this will only be the start. IF RM win this round it will encourage them to attack our remaining conditions even more.

already we get stage warnings for any reason that takes their fancy irespective of the reason ,despite being backed with a doctors certificate.
The only sure fire thing you can guarantee with RM is your only as good as your last letter and are not irreplaceable.

I work in delivery, and I voted No for job security over T&Cs - cos over the last 4 years since I started, T&Cs have been massively eroded & RM show no sign of reversing that trend, but if this agreement comes in, we could find ourselves saying "Job security....what job security?"
