What part of workload does he not understand
If I was a senior manger I would have him hung drawn and quartered for making it harder to get CWU members to vote yes, which is what RML want.

Our manager told us that some people would do 7 hour deliverys,comming back to the office for a 20 min break inbetween,and d2ds delivered on saturdays to all delivery points. Rumor is that he has been opening the reps cwu mail. He has bought in the second part of the revision so now nothing in our office works. How can you trust people like that ?

If true then he should instantly be sacked for gross misconduct for tampering with the mail and should be criminally prosecuted to boot.

Trying to find out if this is true, today we were short of sorters again ,as he has taken two people off sorting losing us 3 hrs sorting time a day that we magically have to make up. By the time it was done today most rurals had packed up and gone out on delivery,leaving loads in the boxes Later on saw a manager stuffing it into a box to make it look like the office was clear. Will try and talk to our office rep tomorrow and find the best way to proceed

Your manager is talking bolloks, how on earth he come up with that is beyond me.
Two examples on this thread of stupid people (managers) saying stupid things.
If your rep lets proposals be put to his/her members for such a duty structure then the rep has lost the plot.
Employees will be provided with modern, appropriate equipment and support and a realistic workload based on fair and transparent standards.
A 7 hour delivery even with a break cannot in the mind of any sane person be considered realistic outdoor workload. The agreement talks about fatigue as well and based on that I repeat what i say about a sane person.
