Didn't get the chance to see the leaked document, but it sounds like a pile of Sh1te. Am I clutching at straws to wonder if they have diliberately leaked a bad version first....then when we see a slightly improved version that is bad but not as bad as the leaked version we will be relieved and vote yes.
If this is truely the real version then you have to wonder about the sanity of our leaders.

From the little bits and pieces I have seen here it will take one hell of a presentation by CWU hierachy to convince the audience to take a recommendation back to Branches and rank and file members!

This proposed agreement is a ploy.
They put out an agreement that only the insane would agree to. This gives them time to put out an amended, not quite as unacceptable agreement after the general and union elections. By the time the duty revisions are finalised, there will be a new MTSF agreement (October) and no one will get pay protection.
No decent human being could be a rep under this new system, only rats.
We need to get a 'shadow' union in position with unofficial reps in every workplace using the grievance procedure to protect their workmates.

If it was a ploy them whoever gave it to POSTMAN has in fact set him up.
I would imagine POSTMAN is a better judge of character than that so i would imagine this copy dated tuesday is near enough to the final deal.
Of course if it is not i'm sure POSTMAN will have a few things to say to his source.

The leak was not a ploy, but the version that is intended to go out on Monday is. This leaked version is probably more or less the same but it will be interesting to see where exactly it differs.
I think the strategy is to release something completely unacceptable to start with so that the amended, almost as unacceptable version will be more likely to be voted in than if the amended version had been released as the first version. It also means that the state of limbo can be extended until after the general election.

I should just say, I wasn't implying that Postman was a bad judge or made a mistake. Opologies if that's how it came across. I'm just shocked that the deal is so bad after 4 months of negotiating. I really do feel totally demoralised with Royal mail and the union after this fiasco. Where do we go from here? What happens if or When there is a no vote? More negotiations?
