I would strike for maintaining saturday attendance as it is now, or once we are made to work later on saturday, to scrap Saturdays altogether.

Kind of. If the deal put to us is crap, there's a good chance I'll be striking both against Royal Mail, and the Quislings at the top of our union, at some point in the future, never for them.

Whilst I was 100% before how many times do we get sold down the river ?
Obviously no one can guarantee the outcome of Industrial Action but I would like to have 100% support from my own union and judging from the past I'm afraid I do not feel this is the case

option 2 for me, the union have a lot to answer for, the membership were united and yet again the union under hayes/ward did not have the balls to see it through, it wouldn't have bothered me if we were on strike through Christmas it was the only way to show royal mail and the public that we are serious

Why strike at all, the union shafted us in 2007 when i was a unit rep, and guess what they have seemed to do it again. All the union seems interested in is looking after the london and south east who earn more than the rest of thye country for doing a lot less work. Royal mail needs to target these areas and leave the rest of us who have implemented the changes all alomg and have no more savings left to make.

For this exact reason i voted against the strike, we need two unions one for the london and ho,me counties and a union for the real workers of the rest of the uk!!!!

I will have to wait and read the agreement, I missed it this morning.... ...if only I could somehow, I don't know, maybe get a sneak preview I could come to an informed decision. I could carefully read all the pages then weigh up the pros and cons then vote accordingly,. from what I have read so far today, written by people on here who have seen this elusive document, I think it will be NO

So, what do idiots elsewhere think postal workers in London will be striking for? What good would a seperate union for the North be? What difference would having a seperate union make to the ability of Royal Management to feck you over.
Answers on a stamp, as a postcard would be to feckin' big.

to win this and any future disputes (EG pensions, privatision) we need the maximum possible public support

however, having seen the "agreement" an all out strike should have been our response
and if the strike ballot is still valid then we need to walk out asap

personally it's got to the stage i couldn't care less what the customer/public think of us, we are the guys/gals having to work under s**t working conditions and out on all weathers .... my main concern is for myself (family of course) and for my fellow colleagues
