What is the situation with a missort on your delivery..

Got told by DOM that if we have prepped our own walk and sorted a letter to the wrong place, subsequently find it on delivery, we have to walk all the way back to deliver it because "it's your mistake and you should rectify it". If someone else prepped the walk then you don't have to. Anyone else been fed this kind of garbage?

Ignore anything yer hingehead tells ya. If you have time to go back then fine. Mine get endorsed with m/s and the date and get put back in the box.

The last PTer who complained about a couple of missorts after I boxed him in got told to come in early for free and do it himself if he's that bothered, by me.

Hardly ever have time to go back so looks like I'll stick to what I've always done (m/s and in box!)

He he, you obviously dont know the little sod.

Anyway he's on a high end PT contract, 6 hours a day, he's got plenty time to throw it in himself, well he would if he didnt drag his feet anyway.

Oh and whos to say it was me anyway?? It might have been him. If I only throw in 30% max, he has put the other 70% in, therefore the odds are he done it. Ive been doing my duty for 8 years and even I, somehow, throw in the odd booby.

Its easily done mate, theres a duty in my office that used to have 4 different derivitives of the same name XXX Road, Close, Place, Ave, its was a bleedin joke.

And there is no way in hell I'm traipsing back on myself to deliver some junk, I will however if its a birthday card.

I did that and got rewarded by allegations of wilful delay. I was two hours over my time and I returned to the DO with them that day.

No freakin way hosay. Thats just askin for bother. Put them in your inside pocket until the following day if you have to but dont return to the office and tell the manager, you might as well just ask for yer P45.

For any new starters browsing this thread,do not put any mail in your pocket!!
Officially,if you have time,you are expected to go back and deliver them,and they are mis-preps,not missorts.
Nobody can be 100% accurate ,so a mistake is easily explained,having mail on your pesron is not!
